Meet The Team

Managing Director

Mark Shouler

Mark's professional background lies in Project Management within the Construction and Property sectors, a role he continues to oversee within the sister companies of Tomcat Motorsport Ltd. His passion for automotive engineering began at the aged of 14, and by 18 had restro-modded his first Land Rover Lightweight by installing a V8 engine. At 21, he designed and built a rear-engine off-road race based on a Range-Rover platform, gaining respectable results throughout the 2002-2002 season.

Over the years, Mark has rebuilt or constructed more than 15 vehicles and engines in his spare time - many to show-quality standards. His hands-on experience and innovate approach bring a valuable and complementary skill set to Tomcat Motorsport, alongside Paul's expertise.

Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending time with wife and two daughters, as well as engaging in various hobbies including track days, sailing, water sports, clay pigeon shooting and, in the near future, off-road racing in his newly built 100" Tomcat. He is also kept company by Max, the family dog.

Senior Project Engineer

Paul Williamson

For those familiar with Tomcat Motorsport Ltd, Paul needs no introduction. As a central figure in the company for over 23 years, he has been instrumental in shaping its identity and
success. Paul’s expertise in building competitive Tomcat trailers and cross-country race cars is second to none, and much of what defines Tomcat today is a direct result of his knowledge, dedication and craftsmanship.

A specialist in suspension, axle and chassis set up for live axle vehicles, Paul is a highly skilled car builder and a walking encyclopaedia of off-road engineering. He now leads production and development alongside Mark, continuing to drive innovation within the company.

Outside of work, Paul enjoys spending quality time with his wide, Son and two Daughters. His passions include off-roading, sailing, power boating and walking.

Accounts and Admin

Jo Wilson

Jo is the vital link that keeps the Tomcat Motorsport team running smoothly. She mangers the company accounts and oversees general administration with efficiency and precision. In addition to her professional expertise, Jo is also able to keep control of a building full of middle-aged adolescents, fulfilling childhood dreams of building race cars!

Beyond the office, Jo is the team’s resident athlete. With a strong passion for running, she regularly competes in Tough Mudder’s, marathons and most impressively, recently completed the 24-hours World’s Toughest Mudder in Florida. Her weekend accomplishments are so remarkable, we’ve stopped asking – she makes the rest of us feel rather
inadequate by comparison!

Merchandise and Social Media

Catherine Shouler

Catherine, Mark’s ever-supporting
wife, plays an important role behind the scenes at Tomcat Motorsport. She manages the procurement and coordination of the company’s merchandise and assists with social media context, always ready to lead a hand wherever needed to support the team.

Outside of Tomcat, Catherine enjoys playing badminton, walking, spending time with their two daughters and of course caring for Max the dog. She also plays a key role in keeping Mark on track – something she’s perfected over the years!

Parts Manager

Matt Marinelli

Matt is Tomcat Motorsport’s Parts Manger and also works a Quantity Surveyor for its sister company, Hofton Project Management Ltd. With this dual role, he brings a unique blend of construction expertise and automotive knowledge- capable of managing your building project while also supplying the parts for your Tomcat build.

A true petrolhead with a trade background, Matt is always willing to roll his sleeves and lead a hand in the workshop when needed. Recently, he’s taken the initiative to learn welding in his own time, further expanding his hands -on capabilities and proving his passion for the work.

Outside of his professional life, Matt is a dedicated family man who enjoys spending time with his partner, their two spirited young daughters, and their extended family.

Apprentice

Emma Shouler

Emma, Mark’s eldest daughter, began working at Tomcat Motorsport as a general assistant to Paul and Jo during breaks from her summer role as a water ski and wakeboard instructor in Greece. Discovering a genuine passion for working as Tomcats, she has since joined the company as an apprentice engineer and mechanic.

Much like her father, Emma is an avid water sports enthusiast, enjoying water skiing, windsurfing, wing foiling, yacht sailing and shooting. She has also taken up trailing and is likely to be racing before long. With such lifestyle, she jokes that a bit more overtime might be needed to support all her hobbies!

Head of food disposal

Max

Max is a professional in food consumption, he specialises in the manipulation of getting food out of his colleagues, the ingestion of food that is not his, disposal of waste food in bins, and stealing fresh chillies from chilly trees (he only did that once)!

Max has trained himself in stress management by jumping on Mark to calm him down when the IT is not doing what it is supposed too.

Max also continues to train hard to be the smelliest employee. He is banned from office and factory if he has eaten turkey!
