Meet The Team

Managing Director
Mark Shouler
Marks professional background is Project Management in Construction and Property, which he still manages in the now sister companies to Tomcat Motorsport Ltd. Since the age of 14 Mark has been building cars, resto-modding his first Lightweight by installing a V8 at the age of 18, designing and building his own Range Rover based rear engine off road race car at 21 years of age. While it was no Tomcat, Mark saw some success in it in 2002-2003. Mark is always looking for the next challenge having rebuilt or built over 15+ cars or engines in his spare time, some of which were show standard. Mark brings a different set of skills and knowledge to Tomcat which complement Paul’s knowledge and skill set. When he has time, Mark enjoys time with his wife, 2 daughters, track days, sailing, water sports, clay pigeon shooting and hopefully off-road racing in his new 100” Tomcat and of course Max the dog.

Senior Project Engineer
Paul Williamson
Paul needs no introduction if you are familiar with Tomcat Motorsport Ltd, he has been the backbone of Tomcat Motorsport for the last 23 years. Paul’s knowledge of how to build a competitive Tomcat trialler and cross-country race car is not to be underestimated. Everything that has made Tomcat what it is today is in the main accredited to Paul. Paul is a specialist in suspension, axle and chassis set up of live axle cars, a skilled car builder and an encyclopaedia of offroad knowledge. Pauls now runs production and development with Mark. Paul enjoys time with his wife, son and 2 daughters, he still enjoys the off roading, sailing, power boating and walking.

Accounts and Admin
Jo Wilson
Jo is the glue that holds all the staff together. Jo looks after the company accounts and general admin for Tomcat Motorsport, while Jo has excellent skills in these areas, Jo is the go-to for an outstanding cup of coffee! None of us can compete with her skills in that department. Jo is also the company athlete! Jo has a keen interest in running, regularly running tough mudder’s, marathons and has recently completed the world’s toughest mudder in Florida which was 24 hours long. We don’t ask her what she did at the weekend anymore, Jo is making us all look rather uninteresting and lazy.

Merchandise and Social Media
Catherine Shouler
Catherine is Mark’s long-suffering wife. Catherine enjoys the responsibility of precuring and managing the merchandise for Tomcat Motorsport and generally helping out where she can with content on social media and generally helping the team when needed. Catherine’s hobbies are guiding Mark (regularly), badminton, walking and looking after their two daughters and of course Max the dog!

Parts Manager
Matt Marinelli
Matt is Tomcat’s parts manager, as well as a Quantity Surveyor for Tomcat Motorsport ltd’s sister company Hofton Project Management Ltd. He can therefore manage your construction projects and supply parts for your tomcat build at the same time. In addition to his already diverse roles, Matt is a keen petrol head with a trade background making him a useful victim for helping out in the workshop when needs must. By his own volition he is now learning to weld so he can help out more, so he must be enjoying it! Matt is a family man, he enjoys spending time with his partner, two head strong little girls and extended family.

Apprentice
Emma Shouler
Emma, Mark’s eldest daughter started working for Tomcat as a general assistant to Paul and Jo in between her summer job as a water ski and wake board instructor in Greece. Emma found that working on the Tomcats is both rewarding and exciting, so has now joined the company as an apprentice engineer / mechanic. Emma, like her dad is a keen water sport enthusiast, enjoying water skiing, windsurfing, wing foiling, yacht sailing, shooting, and now trialling and no doubt soon to be racing. She needs to work more overtime to pay for all her hobbies though!

Journalist, PR
Peter Rosenthal
Peter is a professional automotive journalist mainly working in specialist sports car and motorhome publications. Peter is a highly capable car builder, having built some very special road cars, competitive track cars and sprint cars over the years. Peter carries out our professional photography, video work and PR of car builds in the spotlight. Peter is not directly employed by Tomcat; however, he is resident here two days a week, so he is still considered a valued member of the team.

Head of food disposal
Max
Max is a professional in food consumption, he specialises in the manipulation of getting food out of his colleagues, the ingestion of food that is not his, disposal of waste food in bins, and stealing fresh chillies from chilly trees (he only did that once)!
Max has trained himself in stress management by jumping on Mark to calm him down when the IT is not doing what it is supposed too.
Max also continues to train hard to be the smelliest employee. He is banned from office and factory if he has eaten turkey!
