Tomcat Works Demonstrator 100 SOLD

Discovery series 1 chassis lightened and strengthened as per normal Tomcat build.
Tomcat 100 skeleton frame (special build in T45 steel  - 30% weight saving with strength increase) fully powder coated.
Usual Tomcat body work in fibreglass and aluminium. Fibreglass one piece transmission tunnel. Body in orange gel coat.
Discovery 1 axles
Front axle recastored +12 degrees, strengthening kit fitted, 110 swivels with rialko bush. 4 pinion front diff 3.54 ratio, 24 spline shafts, heavy duty prop shaft with wide angle universal joints.
Rear axle converted to front radius arms and panhard rod, strengthening kit fitted, true trac torque biasing diff 3.54 ratio, 24 spline shafts, heavy duty prop with wide angle joints.
Mach 5 7x16 wheels Technic amazon tyres 235/70 16 (used)
Disco 1 servo and master cylinder. Separate brake flexi hoses. 110 large front calipers, vented front discs. Discovery 4 pot front calipers fitted to rear.
Standard drum hand brake on T box, disco lever.
Tomcat race springs (front and rear specific) Fox 2.5 series dampers with remote reservoirs, 300mm travel. Tomcat specific valving. Check straps. Full Super Pro bush set (Tomcat specific) just fitted for this show season.
Range Rover classic column, OMP suede steering wheel, Quick ratio steering box. Heavy duty steering bars, OME steering damper. Stainless steel braided power steering hoses. Tomcat modified pump for higher flow.
Full Tomcat international wiring loom. Caerbont TVR spec gauges. NAS spec lights. Heated windscreen. Disco 2 switch gear on steering column.
Exide maxxima high capacity battery.
TVR 5.0 litre (Rover) V8 approx 250hp 300-320lb/ft torque (checked with Roland Marlow) 14 CUX injection system. Tomcat exhaust manifolds in stainless steel. Full tomcat exhaust system 75mm bore stainless steel.
Front cover modified to remote oil filter, stainless braided oil lines. Captive tomcat engine mounts. 16 row engine oil cooler mounted in Tomcat cooler frame which also carries oil filter and has space for extra coolers (steering or gearbox)
Large capacity Tomcat aluminium radiator, mounted on rear bulkhead, twin 305mm high capacity fans on automatic system. Stainless steel cooling pipes and silicone hoses. Aluminium header tank in air duct.
R380 manual 5 speed gearbox (L suffix TD5 Disco spec) converted to Defender selector/stick to position lever correctly. 4 paddle AP racing clutch.
Borg Warner transfer box with Tomcat 1.38:1 ratio conversion gear and chain. Standard viscous coupling.
Tomcat aluminium screen washer reservoir, rear mounted. Headlamp washer pump and jets giving very high volume washers.
Cruciform gearbox cross member, triangulating chassis and protecting gearbox. 10mm aluminium skid plate on cross member.
Approx 45 litre aluminium low mount fuel tank, external high volume/pressure pump, large capacity, cleanable pre filter, and post pump filter. Braided fuel lines, double breather valves.
Tomcat pro seats by Motordrive, TRS 5 point harnesses.
Gas struts to lift bonnet (1) and rear roof (2).
The car has was only completed in 2011 and has been used only for the show season to promote Tomcat Motorsport and our component partners Super Pro bushes and AlliSport. However the engine, transmission and axles were originally built for our works 88 which was used to take 2nd overall in the British Off Road Championship and also win the Scottish Hill Rally. Performance should be around 5-6 seconds to 60 with top speed of around 110 mph.
The car will have a second seat fitted for sale together with the seat belt for the passenger side, everything else is ready to go.
